I have recently canceled my TE Data subscription, why I did that?
- No stable Internet connectivity
- They have suspended my account for not paying L.E 10 for extra usage
- No one notified me that they will suspend the subscription.. by email, phone call or even SMS
- They have suspended it for extra usage although I have unlimited account
- The extra usage was for the period I had limited account, although when transferring to unlimited one, no one told me I had any liabilities
- They have suspended the account, although I was paying for a month ahead
- The extra usage was for month of September and they suspended the account in November
- They have the worst and rudest phone customer service ever
- I can’t pay for extra usage online, I should go to branch
- They have very few branches over city
- When paying online by credit card, I was charged for double the monthly subscription by mistake and got no bill for it
- When canceling the account, they didn’t pay me back the rest of the subscription, although I just benefited 8 days out 60 days
- To cancel account, I should first pay L.E 10 for extra usage!
- “The cancelation process officially takes from 7 to 21 days, but practically it may take up to a month” - said the customer service manager at their branch
- I won’t have the connection restored till the cancelation is effective, it’s immediately suspended, although paying the L.E 10 of extra usage
- I have totally lost the rest of subscription money (including the days of suspension)
- When complaining they said it’s the system problem
- When tweeting about it, they replied I should talk to online customer service, although - apparently - I had no Internet connection to do so (I was tweeting from mobile, Surprise!)
- The next day I tried to talk to their online customer service (at noon), but no one was available to talk to
- I have been robbed a total of L.E 200 by TE Data Egypt in the last 2 weeks
I think I made my point clear, you’d better not deal with TE Data Egypt
Update 1: After more than 70 tweets and RTs, @TEDataEgypt asked to send the issue by email, I did.. 30 minutes later a customer care specialist called me, told him the story, he apologized in a very gentle way, told me the are working on replacing the system and enhancing customer service experience, asked me to withdraw my cancelation and offered 50% discount, I accepted it and said I will surely cancel the account if I faced any similar problems with TEData in the future.
Update 2: A week later, and without any prior notification as usual, I found that my connection was down again.. after calling call center, they said that it was suspended for extra usage for month of July! when I asked why did nobody tell me so when I paid the other L.E 10 of August at the branch last week?? the operator replied “I have no idea”.
